Seven promises, in plain words, covering the free plan, your data, and how Kinoku sells, so hold us to them.
1. What ships free stays free
When a feature lands in the free plan, it stays there and does not move behind a paywall later, so the free plan only grows. This rule is wired into the project itself, because a check runs on every change and blocks any quiet move of a free feature into a paid tier.
2. No caps on your data
Workouts, routines, history, progress photos, custom exercises, and runs are uncapped. Some apps cap these to push you to pay, and Kinoku does not, so your training record does not shrink to fit a plan.
3. No ads, ever
There are no ads on any tier, not even on the free plan, and nothing in the app is sponsored.
4. Kinoku does not host your training history
Kinoku works without a mandatory account, and your primary training record lives on your device, not on a Kinoku server. Eligible main app data may use Android system backup in your Google account, and the data sovereignty page has the full breakdown.
5. No tricks in how Kinoku sells
There are no countdown clocks and no fake deadlines. Eligible new customers can try the yearly plan for 14 days, and Google Play shows the renewal price before purchase. The "no thanks" button is one plain tap, and when you close an upgrade card the app remembers. Kinoku never blocks saving a workout or interrupts the recap. After some workouts, Today may show one occasional, dismissible Pro discovery card. Every paid screen lists exactly what you get for the money.

6. Honest numbers
Some numbers in Kinoku are estimates, so things like VO₂ max, a fitness estimate from your runs, are computed guesses, not lab results. The app labels them where they appear, and shows them with honest precision.
7. Changes are announced, never silent
If any of this ever has to change, you will read about it in the changelog and on this page first. Nothing gets removed or moved quietly, and the one thing you will never get from us is silence.

Kinoku's core training record runs on your phone, which keeps the free plan useful from day one: real logging, planning, history, and runs without a server bill attached to every session.
