Seven promises, in plain words. They cover the free plan, your data, and how Kinoku sells. Hold us to them.
1. What ships free stays free
When a feature lands in the free plan, it stays there. It does not move behind a paywall later. The free plan only grows. This rule is wired into the project itself. A check runs on every change and blocks any quiet move of a free feature into a paid tier.
2. No caps on your data
Your history, routines, progress photos, custom exercises, and runs have no limits. Some apps cap these to push you to pay. Kinoku never will. Your training record does not shrink to fit a plan.
3. No ads, ever
There are no ads on any tier. Not even on the free plan. Nothing in the app is sponsored.
4. Your data stays on your phone
Kinoku works without an account. Your training record lives on your device, not on a server. The data sovereignty page has the full breakdown of what stays and what can leave.
5. No tricks in how Kinoku sells
There are no countdown sales and no fake discounts. Prices just sit there. The "no thanks" button is one plain tap. Close an upgrade card and the app remembers. Kinoku does not push upgrades on you after workouts. Every paid screen lists exactly what you get for the money.

6. Honest numbers
Some numbers in Kinoku are estimates. Things like VO₂ max, a fitness estimate from your runs, are computed guesses, not lab results. The app labels them where they appear, and shows them with honest precision.
7. Changes are announced, never silent
If any of this ever has to change, you will read about it in the changelog and on this page first. Nothing gets removed or moved quietly. The one thing you will never get from us is silence.
Why you can believe this
Most apps pay servers for every user. That bill pushes them to squeeze the free tier. Kinoku runs on your phone, so there is no bill to chase. The free plan stays whole.
How does this stay alive? People who want the deeper layer pay for it. That funds everything else. The pricing page shows the full picture.
