How do I get reminded before my subscription renews?
Open Subscription from the side menu and turn on Notify me before renewal, then pick 1, 3 or 7 days ahead. The reminder comes from your phone.
Open the side menu, tap Subscription, and scroll down to the Notify me before renewal switch. Once you turn it on, you can pick 1, 3 or 7 days before the charge, and 3 days is set at first. The switch starts off, so no reminder comes until you turn it on.
Your phone sets up the reminder by itself, so Kinoku sends no data anywhere to make it work. The reminder only fires when a charge is really coming, so it stays quiet on the free plan and on Pro Lifetime. It also stays quiet while a plan is canceled, paused or held up by a failed payment.
A free trial gets its own notice, whether or not the switch is on. Two days before the trial ends, Kinoku tells you the first charge is near, which gives you time to cancel through Manage on Google Play if you decide Pro is not for you. The renewal reminder stays silent during the trial, because the trial notice already covers that first charge.
