Why does the Today tab look different on a new install?
New installs start on the Simple layout. After you finish more than ten workouts, Today moves to Detailed on its own, and you can pick either in Settings.
The Today tab has two layouts, Simple and Detailed, and a new install starts on Simple so the first few days stay easy to read. Once you have finished more than ten workouts, Today moves to the Detailed layout by itself, and a small tip explains the change the first time it happens.
Detailed adds a notes chip to the Today card on days when the coach has notes for you, and a tap on the chip opens them. If you mostly train for endurance, it also shows how far you have run this week, just below the weekly stats.
You can pick the layout yourself at any time. The Today screen detail setting, in Settings under Customize Kinoku, has three options. Auto follows your workout count, while Simple and Detailed keep the view you pick no matter how many workouts you log.
