Progress Photos
Track your body over time with side-by-side shots, smart presets, and a face or fingerprint lock. Photos stay on your phone and never upload.
Proof surface
What this feature looks like in the app
Same pose, every time
The camera shows your last shot at 30% so your framing stays the same week to week. Most apps miss this.
Tagged, dated, protected
Each photo can hold your body weight and notes. Deletes go to a 30-day Trash, and a face or fingerprint lock keeps your gallery private.
What it is
Attach photos to any day in your training history. Over time you build a photo timeline of your body, right next to the data that shows your strength going up. Put any two photos side by side. You can see slow changes the bathroom mirror never quite shows.
What you can do
- In-app camera with ghost overlay: Take photos right in the app. The camera shows a faint copy of your last photo, so you can match your pose, light, and framing.
- Timeline view: Scroll through every photo you have taken. Each one is dated for you.
- Smart compare: The compare tab can fill empty slots with one tap. Try “Most recent vs 4 weeks ago”, “Earliest vs latest”, or “Same pose, biggest gap”.
- Tagged with your data: Body weight, body fat, mood, and sleep are pulled from your logs for that day. You see the photo and the numbers together.
- Trash and undo: Deleted photos go to a Trash for 30 days, with an Undo button. A wrong tap will not cost you a photo.
How privacy works
Many progress-photo apps upload your mirror selfies to their cloud. They sit on servers you do not own, under rules you did not read.
Kinoku keeps your photos in your phone’s own private storage. They are never sent anywhere. No one sees them but you. If you back up your data, the photos come with you in the ZIP file.
Biometric lock (Pro): You can lock the Progress Gallery and the other photo views behind your phone’s fingerprint, face, or PIN. So even if you hand someone an unlocked phone, your photos stay private.
What’s free and what’s Pro
- Take and store photos: free, with no limit. Snap as many as you want, tagged with your workout data, kept on your phone.
- View on the workout day: free. Photos show up next to the history entry for the day you took them.
- Progress Gallery and timeline: Pro. The full gallery screen, with scrolling, filters, the two-photo compare view, and the biometric lock, is part of Pro.
