What this feature looks like in the app

Four boxes, one code

Set the seconds for lowering, pausing, lifting, then pausing again. Type X for a part you want to move as fast as you can.

What it is

Rep tempo is the speed of each rep. You set it once for an exercise in a routine. Four small boxes hold the seconds for each part of a rep: lower down, pause at the bottom, lift up, then pause at the top.

How it works

Type a number in each box, or type X for a part you want to move as fast as you can. For example, 3, 0, 1, 0 means a 3 second lower, no pause at the bottom, a 1 second lift, then no pause at the top. When you train, your workout shows the tempo as a light hint on every set of that exercise. The hint is only a guide. What you do always counts.

Why it matters

Tempo is a simple way to make a lift harder without adding weight. A slow lower builds control and keeps the muscle working longer. You plan it once for the exercise, so you do not retype it on every set.

Free, forever

Rep tempo is on the free plan. Not a teaser, not a trial.
