How do the workout timers work?

Kinoku has three free workout clocks for timed rounds. For Time counts up, EMOM starts a round each interval, and AMRAP counts down.

Kinoku has three workout timers that put a big clock on the screen for timed rounds, and all three are free.

  • For Time counts up while you work through the round, until you tap Finish or a time cap you set runs out.
  • EMOM, short for every minute on the minute, starts a new round at the top of each interval, and the stations take turns.
  • AMRAP, short for as many rounds as possible, counts down from a time cap while you repeat the round.

To start one, pick it under Workout Mode in the routine editor. You can also tap Scene on Today and then Start a timer, which needs no routine. Each tap on Round done ticks off the sets of that round. In For Time and AMRAP it also saves a split, and in EMOM it marks the round as done on time. The clock keeps running if you leave the screen or lock the phone.

The result stays with its workout. Best only compares results from the same routine and setup, so a 20-minute AMRAP is never ranked against a 15-minute one. Circuit mode, the work and rest countdown in the same picker, is a separate feature that needs Pro.
