What is a run print?
A run print turns a GPS run into a poster drawn like a woodblock print. Tap Print next to Share Run on a run's summary. It is free.
A run print turns a GPS run into a poster drawn like a woodblock print. The route is a brush stroke, the climbs make a ridge under the map, and the totals sit in a box in one corner. The number at the bottom right counts your runs up to and including this one, and on a walk it counts your walks.
The Print button sits next to Share Run on the summary of any run with a GPS route, and the print is free for everyone.
You can change the title and add a place. The sky follows where the sun was when you set off, unless you pick Day or Night. Under Size you can pick a poster, 4:5 for a feed post, or a story, and from there you can share the print, copy it or save it to your phone’s gallery. Hide start and finish leaves the parts of the route near its ends off the print.
With Water and Buildings on, the rivers, lakes and buildings around the route come from OpenStreetMap, the same map data the app’s maps use. They need a connection the first time, and the print keeps them after that. Offline, the print draws what it already has and says what it leaves out. The Suggest button next to the place asks your phone’s place-name service for a name, but only when you tap it, and the Show kinoku.app switch under Look puts the app’s web address on the print.
