Quick Log

What it is

A fast way to log a set without tapping through the normal screens. Long-press the exercise card or the set row to open Quick Log. Then type in plain words or tap the mic to speak.

Kinoku reads what you said. It picks out the weight, the units (kg or lb), the reps, RPE or RIR, and any notes. It also matches the exercise name to your library, even if you say it a bit off.

You can use Quick Log in three places: in the app, from a lock-screen notice, and from your Wear OS watch.

Why it helps

Tapping a small screen between heavy sets is no fun. Your hands might be chalky or in gloves. You might be out of breath. Quick Log skips that step.

• No taps between work sets. Just long-press.
• Lock-screen access so the phone can stay on the bench.
• Watch logging so the phone doesn’t even have to be near you. That helps in a busy gym where you don’t want to leave it out.
• Add a new exercise mid-workout, not just a set. Say “add overhead press” and it goes to your routine.

What it understands

You speak in plain words. There is no set format to follow:

• “Squats, 140 kilos, 5”
• “Add a set of bench press, 200 pounds, 10 reps, felt easy”
• “Log overhead press 60 kilos by 8 RPE 9”
• “5 reps, 405” (this keeps your current exercise)

On-device speech

Kinoku uses Android’s own speech tool. On a newer phone, it can run right on the device. An older phone may send the audio to the cloud instead. When that happens, Android shows a notice so you can choose. Kinoku saves the text you accept, not the raw audio.

Pro

Quick Log is part of the Pro tier. It’s a feature serious lifters reach for once they train a few times a week. Free users still get the full normal logging flow.
