What is BBT and how do I log it?
Basal body temperature (BBT) is your resting temperature when you wake. Log it in the Fertility section of a day on the Cycle Tracking calendar.
Basal body temperature, or BBT, is your body’s lowest resting temperature. You take it at the same time each morning, before you get up or drink anything. After you ovulate, the hormone progesterone raises it by about 0.2 °C (around 0.4 °F), and Kinoku looks for that rise.
To log a reading, open Cycle Tracking and tap a day on its calendar. Then type the number under Basal body temp in the Fertility part of the day sheet. The reading follows your app units, so it shows in °C with metric and °F with imperial, which you set under Unit System in Settings.
After enough days of readings, a 30-day chart appears. A dashed line marks your baseline before the rise, an average of six days, and three readings in a row above it suggest that you have ovulated. A dot marks the day Kinoku thinks you ovulated. Because the rise comes after the fact, the chart confirms it rather than warning you ahead of time.

In the app
Cycle Tracking & Fertility
Full cycle, fertility, and pregnancy tracking, with phase context and training links. Dedicated raw records and generated cycle state are excluded from future Android automatic cloud backup, standard exports, share cards, and Kinoku servers. Your Cycle Tracking configuration lives in that same excluded database, while user-created metrics remain eligible for Android system backup in your Google account. A manual ZIP or user-initiated device transfer can carry the dedicated database.
