What is Smart Routine Sync?
Smart Sync compares a finished workout with its routine and lets you choose which changes to save. It is the default way a routine updates after you train.
Smart Sync keeps a routine in step with what you lift. After you finish a workout that came from a routine, Kinoku compares the two and shows what changed, so you decide what becomes the new plan.
Weight and rep changes wait in a review sheet with the increases already ticked. Review all is the default, and you tap Apply to save. Two other choices skip the sheet for simple changes: Auto-apply saves increases on their own, and Apply safe saves most changes while holding a few back for you to check.
By default a target only moves up. A switch called A routine target can go down lets it move the other way, but only once your last three sessions all used the same weight and reps.
Under Smart Sync, bigger changes always ask first. That covers exercises you added or took out, set type changes such as warmup, max effort, drop or rest-pause, superset pairs and a new exercise order. A superset pair applies to every linked exercise in one tap, so a group never ends up half paired. Warmup sets you add during a workout go at the start of the routine’s set list, and drop and max effort sets go after the working sets.
All of this lives under Settings, then Workout Experience, then Auto-update Routines. The same row offers Full Auto, which saves every change with no review, and Off, which leaves the routine as it was.
